Profiling
-Between Centers
-Floating Chuck
-Dynamic Steady Rest
Mountain Machining utilizes a high-end Okuma LU3000, outfitted with a floating head adaptive chuck that gives true between-center work,
while also taking advantage of the full power of a clamped spindle. Machining the entire barrel profile complete in 1 operation from
crown to rear threads ensures critical dimensions are tied together, while also producing a minimal amount of runout.
We can accommodate any small arms calibers up to 40" in length.

-Floating Reamers
-Repeatability
-SAAMI & CIP
One of the most critical aspects of barrel is the chambering. Often a simple process, but with a large margin of error.
With high precision carbide rough and finish chamber reamers inside of floating head collet holders,
Mountain Machining can produce SAAMI or CIP spec chambers with unrivaled consistency.
